HOBART: The Lea Scout Centre – Kingston
From Hobart: ‘The Lea Camp'
is situated 8.3km from the Hobart GPO on the Southern Outlet Road from Hobart
to Kingston. Heading from Hobart turn off at “The Lea/Albion Heights”
turn off. The Lea Scout camp is situated just inside the turn off. Enter the
Scout Camp and follow Gilwell Drive to the top of the Lea. (See attached map)
From Kingston: Turn left off
the Southern Outlet heading towards Hobart at the Proctors Road turn off. This
will then take you back under the southern outlet, turn left and head along
Proctors Road until you come across the Lea Scout Camp located on the right
hand side of the road. Enter the Scout Camp and follow Gilwell Drive to the
top of the Lea.
IMPORTANT: Gilwell Drive is a privately
owned and maintained road which has a maximum speed limit of 40Km/Hr.
LAUNCESTON: Hollybank Forest
From Launceston:
Heading North from Launceston follow the East Tamar Highway (A8), turning right onto George Town Rd (follow for 2.8km) and then right onto Lilydale Road (follow for 11.5 km) passing through the suburb of Rocherlea. Turn right into Goullees Rd (follow for 75 meters) and then turn left into Hollybank Rd.
DEVONPORT: Forth, Fulton Park
Situated on the eastern bank of the Forth River, 4km upstream from the Forth
Fire station. Facilities include a hall with a small kitchen, bunkhouse, outdoor
kitchen and large shower/toilet block.
